Postcard Collection: The
Onondaga County Library has collected more than 300 vintage postcards
depicting the Syracuse area. Here they are, organized by their call
letters. Art Work of Syracuse, NY: The Gravure Illustration Company of Chicago published photographic collections for all the major cities in the country. Each included flowery descriptions of the locality in question, accompanied by photographs depicting the area's most attractive features. The collection of 42 photos is called "Art Work of Syracuse, New York." It was published in twelve bound volumes, all gathered into their own cloth covered box. The work is dated 1899. Maps
